More Interest Shown by Smaller Units in Commercial Properties, Bigger Ones Still Passive

Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent are perhaps one of the very few areas that have shown steadiness in property values, reported Instaffs, an investment agency. Smaller units have steadily shown more promise than bigger companies and distribution hubs, which have been passive since the recession. Instaffs has 1,200 available properties on its list, which is the current highest for any agency.

After observing the goings-on at Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent, Instaffs has used the statistics to bring out this information in their latest Property Market Trends report.

During October 2008 to March 2009, Instaffs got 638 signups from its clients interested in shared offices which were an increase from the 570 registrations it received in the six months prior to the mentioned time period. 1,068 were the number of property enquires made during October to March from Instaffs.

All the figures and statistics point to the fact that small units are inviting more attention than bigger units that have not shown much activity, said John de Kanter, Chief Executive of Instaffs.

The Four Ashes Dell location generated a lot of interest while other spots that caught the eye of investors were Norton Canes Business Park, the South Staffordshire Business Pal, Rugeley’s Towers Business Park, and Hawks Green.

There was a 19% interest rise reported for small units that cover an area of 3,000 sq ft or lesser, in the last six months.
