Life – A Child is Born
With the sunrise and the sunset, every minute a child is born. The first cry seems to be joyful to the parents’ ears, yet a cry of suffering one knows not. With every new born, death is seen, but where he goes to is a mystery to all. Not knowing where one comes from, one will not know why one comes to this plane, neither will one know of where to return.
Life in its meaning looks simple enough, but what really is life and what is the purpose of one’s return? Recycle has been spoken from time to time, but no one remembers his past. To talk about life is important, the future will be at stake if the present is not taken care of. If one knows not of life, the purpose of one’s return is being deceived.
Life is like a morning dew, so fresh with its arrival. Yet as time proves so, the dew too will be stained with dust. Everything faces challenges but the right decision must be made. A newborn knows not of right or wrong, dirty or clean. He knows not of morality or immorality. His life no doubt is given by the parents but the nature is granted from Heaven above. Thus, the nature by right is filled with goodness but through daily defilement, the nature becomes impure.
In life, the love of parents is greater than the sky, yet love alone does not provide for all. To love a child is to spoil him yet to pardon him will make him good. Just as Jade before purification, it is merely a piece of stone. With daily purifying one chisels and moulds, a precious stone of Jade is seen. A child is like a Jade. He needs to be guided well in order to bring out his True Nature of goodness.
Everything has its first step. Adults owe their lives to their parents. All adults must remember that the future of the young lies in their hands. The young of today will be the leader of tomorrow; but if not well guided a leader he will not be.
Precious is the life one possesses; to be near black ink, one gets black; to be near red ink, one gets red, yet how many truly understand the meaning of it, says Heaven. Take good care of your child, never let him to be near black. Do not be in the dark, do not be blind and do not be wrong. One mistake can cause endless suffering. Take care.
